Full Job Description
As a Lead Planner, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll play a pivotal role on the Sizewell C programme, one of the UK's largest and most important nuclear infrastructure projects. This is a high-impact position where your leadership and insight will shape how a complex, multi-discipline project is planned, coordinated and delivered. Day-to-day you'll be required to:
- Owning and maintaining the integrated project schedule, ensuring alignment across all disciplines and workstreams
- Leading critical path analysis, schedule risk assessments, scenario planning and mitigation strategies
- Coordinating and mentoring planning engineers, promoting consistent standards, tools and reporting
- Producing and presenting high-quality planning reports and forecasts to senior stakeholders
- Facilitating planning workshops and collaborative sessions with project teams, partners and suppliers This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
- Proven experience planning large, complex projects or programmes
- Experience working in highly regulated environments such as nuclear, energy, defence, infrastructure or rail
- Strong, hands-on expertise using Primavera P6
- Experience leading, coordinating or mentoring planning teams
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to multi-discipline programme delivery Qualifications for the Lead Planner
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (desirable)
- Recognised project management qualification such as APM, or equivalent demonstrable experience Security Clearance, The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
