Lead Pharmacist for Education and Training (Subject to AFC Banding)

Come and join our supportive and friendly pharmacy department., You will have a key role in shaping the delivery of training programmes within the pharmacy department; providing support to trainees and all staff involved in their supervision., The post holder will be lead the Pharmacy Education & Training Team. They will lead the co-ordination, implementation, development, and delivery of training programmes for all pharmacy trainees.

They will lead the Pharmacy E&T Team and support the wider pharmacy team to develop and support learners and supervisors, and to ensure an effective, inclusive and innovative learning environment and culture.

The post holder will provide dispensary and clinical ward pharmacy services where required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who enjoys working as part of a team and has exceptional organisational skills. You must have a sound clinical background, be a great 'people person' and have the ambition to develop staff and services.

You will retain your clinical skills by having designated clinical service provision time.

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is an integrated Trust and the only provider of NHS acute care in Walsall, serving a population of 284,300, providing inpatient and outpatient services at the Manor Hospital as well as a wide range of services in the community. The £170 million development was completed in 2010 and the continued upgrading of existing areas ensures the Trust now has a state-of-the-art Critical Care Unit, Neonatal Unit, Obstetric Theatre, and Integrated Assessment Unit facilities.

A new Urgent Emergency Care Centre was opened in March 2023. The two-storey development has significantly improved emergency care facilities and capacity and has provided almost 5,000 square metres of additional clinical space.
