Lead Nurse (Leicestershire)

Are you an experienced practice nurse ready to make a bigger impact?, As Lead Nurse, you will become a key clinical resource for our practice nursing teams. Your role will include:

• Providing senior clinical support and advice to practice nurses, including support with complex clinical situations.
• Acting as a clinical escalation point and working collaboratively with GPs, Clinical Directors and the wider MDT.
• Identifying training, competency and development needs across our nursing workforce.
• Developing and delivering clinical training, education sessions and case-based learning.
• Supporting newly appointed, developing and experienced nurses to broaden their skills and confidence.
• Keeping up to date with NICE, NHS England, professional and local ICB/PCN guidance and translating changes into practical information for our teams.
• Supporting clinical governance, audits, significant events, complaints and quality improvement activity.
• Helping develop clinical pathways, protocols, policies and standard operating procedures.
• Identifying opportunities to improve and standardise nursing practice across our practices.
• Supporting the development of new clinical services and the future role of nursing within SPC.
• Maintaining your own clinical practice through regular patient-facing clinics.
• Using your independent prescribing qualification safely and effectively within your professional competence, local formulary and SPC policies.
