Lead Midwife for Maternity Inpatient Services

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior midwifery leader to provide clinical and professional leadership, expert clinical advice and management support to ensure that midwifery care is delivered to the highest standard across Inpatient services at St Thomas Hospital ., The main duties and responsibilities of the role are the proactive and visible leadership and management of all resources across key areas of the midwifery service.

The Lead Midwife will be responsible for the teams within and the operational management and oversight of all Inpatient areas at St Thomas Hospital. These areas include; Hospital Birth Centre, Maternity Theatres and Enhanced care, Postnatal ward, Transitional Care Unit, Antenatal Ward and the Westminster Private Maternity Suite.

The lead midwife will provide direct line management and support to 3 Matrons who oversee each area.
