Lead IR Radiographer

The post holder will provide specialist advice regarding Interventional Radiography, will be involved inquality management and governance, management of a small team and have clinical duties to ensureeffectiveoperationofthedepartment.

· Toberesponsibleforleadingthe InterventionalserviceatBasingstoke North Hampshire Hospital.

· To promote excellence in the Interventional service and to provide specialist knowledge andexpertadvice regarding InterventionalRadiography.

· Tooperationallymanagethe Interventionalserviceincludinglinemanagementofstaff.

· To undertakeawide rangeof Interventionalprocedures.

· Assessandprioritise theworkloadincludingdayto dayrunning,ordering anddispensing.

· Comply with Interventional physics requirements in relation to IR(ME)R, IRR 17 and attendmedicalphysicsmeetings as andwhen required.

· Toproducemodalityreports forClinicalGovernanceandORPG.

· Be responsible for the Local Rules, SOP's, record keeping, waste, Infection control and training recordsandcompliance.
