Full Job Description

In this role, you will be the architect and champion of tailored educational pathways. You will:

  • Collaborate for Success: Work closely with the SENDCo, Personal Development Lead, Raising Standards Lead and Teaching and Learning Lead to design and monitor high-quality, personalised provisions.
  • Maintain High Standards: Ensure that alternative pathways are rigorous, robust and directly lead to meaningful qualifications and successful post-16 transitions.
  • Strategic Leadership: Attend Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings as required, giving you valuable insight and input into whole-school strategy.
  • Governance: Prepare reports and present updates to the Governing Body on the progress and outcomes of pupils on bespoke pathways.
  • Flexible Delivery: Deliver one after-school "Night School" slot per week to support flexible or extended learning opportunities.

King's Academy Lord Wilson is seeking a passionate, driven and organised aspiring leader to join our middle leadership team as the Lead for Bespoke and Alternative Provision.
  • As a school, we have a proven track record of ensuring that all pupils achieve the qualifications required to secure their next steps. We refuse to lower our bars. This role is about bridging the gap for those pupils who require a bespoke or alternative package, ensuring that the quality of education for those not on-site full-time matches the high aspirations we hold for pupils in our mainstream classrooms., This is an ideal stepping stone for a colleague looking to progress into senior leadership in the future. We are looking for an aspiring leader who:
  • Demonstrates a fierce commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities.
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across multiple school teams.
  • Is data-informed, resilient and solution-focused, with a strong understanding of attainment and progress measures.
  • Holds a deep belief that "different" education should never mean "lesser" education.

Please submit an expression of interest (no more than two sides of A4) outlining your vision for this role and how your experience to date prepares you for middle leadership at King's Academy Lord Wilson.
