Lead Driver

Norse Transport Division are currently seeking a Lead Driver to work at our Depot based in Kings Lyn. You will be responsible for both routine AM and PM transport of our vulnerable children and adults to and from their destinations, supporting their wellbeing, providing a caring tailored service, and ensuring a successful journey. You will also have higher responsibilities as this is a Lead Driver role that will come with more responsibilities., As a Lead Driver, you will be required to be in regular contact with the Team Leader in order to support and update them on progress of the routes each day. You will also be responsible for planning the Rotas and Vehicle Servicing for the Minibus' used each day. You will also undertake split shifts as a Minibus Driver each day, this requires you to operate our routes transporting people to and from their destination. This can be a physical role as you will sometimes be required to conduct physical tasks such as lifting wheelchairs or securing items in the vehicle using ratchet straps.

• Good geographical knowledge of local area
• Basic computer skills to be able to communicate with members of the team on mobile and email.
• Previous experience of driving passenger carrying vehicles.
• Supportive and caring attitude
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to conduct Physical requirements of the role.
  
  This position is being offered on a Permanent, Full-time basis working Monday to Friday working both AM & PM school runs all year round.
