The Lead Child Protection Practitioner is a qualified social worker with significant experience and skill to act as an expert in the field of child protection. You must have excellent knowledge in all areas of potential Child Abuse, the contributing factors, and consequences.
You will need to be able to provide expert advice and consultation to practitioners across the multi-agency partnership and support families when significant harm has been identified. You will have a role with the Strategy Meetings, section 47 enquiries, children on child protection plans and children in pre proceedings. You will need to be able to encourage family group decision making and challenge across the multi-agency group.
