Full Job Description
The Performance & Business Intelligence Department supports the Clinical Divisions within the Trust as well as supporting the SLA function by preparing monitoring reports and planning data. The department also plays a major role in identifying areas where the Trust needs to review practices by identifying areas where the Trust is performing below benchmark performance.
It is at the forefront of service development, understanding future needs and identifying in advance areas of potential growth - looking at demand and capacity analysis and taking into account the wider NHS agenda.
Looking at how implementing new systems are going to impact on Information reporting and assuring that systems meet NHS data standards as well as the Trust's Information requirements.
Main duties of the job
Primary duties:
Developand build innovative systems and reports to support changing and emerging business requirements for information provision and reporting.
Lead the development and implementation of improvements in automation of existing processes, validation and reports.
Production of routine internal and external reports in an accurate, timely and complete way.
Lead on the ongoing development and use of the BI hub.
Lead in the development of business intelligence tools. Lead, train and assist the wider information team to develop technical solutions for reporting requirements, including automation of reports and processes, and the use of data visualisation tools such as PowerBI and SSRS.
Ensure access to BI developed reports is consistent with the needs and role of the user, in particular reports that contain PID. Ensure that appropriate security controls are in place and align to corporate policies and procedures in regard to Information Governance.
Work closely with end users to define intelligence requirements and provide quality assurance by routinely reviewing outputs, the purpose and design to ensure it is appropriate and insightful.
Implementation of a clear development path to deliver dashboards and other relevant data visualisations to specific deadlines.
