We are seeking an accomplished Lead Engineer with expertise in Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA) and the methods used within an automotive body system to control air borne noise. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and application of SEA techniques to support design and development of noise control treatments from concept to production. Your contributions will help maintain our position as a world-leading automotive OEM. As part of a team of simulation engineers and leaders, you will provide engineering support for ongoing design development and enhance the techniques and tools used within the department. - Develop Automotive Components/Systems: Utilise engineering expertise and CAE techniques to achieve NVH performance targets
- Build SEA Models: Manage the creation of SEA models for various programmes
- Conduct CAE Analysis: Run analyses, summarise results, and efficiently communicate conclusions to component Lead Engineers
- Collaborate in Agile Environment: Work effectively with design teams to develop and optimise solutions, considering multiple attributes within deadlines
- Support Design Reviews: Present and support at design reviews with key stakeholders, including COC component design teams, PAT teams, and packaging teams
- Enhance Tools and Techniques: Support the continual development of tools and techniques to improve the quality and robustness of virtual models
Proficiency in Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA) using VA1 software - Knowledge of how airborne noise is controlled within a vehicle system
- Familiarity with the types of materials used to control noise in airborne systems, including their properties and applications
- Experience in constructing and refining SEA models to accurately simulate and analyse noise pathways and their impact on vehicle interiors
- Broad experience in Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) to develop and validate models that enhance the vehicle's NVH performance Creating Modern Luxury requires a modern approach to work.
