Leachate Compliance Technician

Employee Assistance Programme and the Best Doctors Service via our Wellbeing Platform What will you be doing? - Monitoring leachate levels and assessing the condition of leachate systems across landfill sites - Carrying out on-site investigations using specialist environmental monitoring equipment - Collecting and recording accurate environmental data - Operating equipment such as dip meters and CCTV systems to investigate leachate infrastructure - Monitoring leachate tank levels through telemetry systems and escalating issues when required - Producing reports and entering investigation findings into company databases - Supporting the identification of environmental issues and helping to develop appropriate remedial solutions - Working closely with operational, environmental and site management teams - Maintaining compliance with company procedures and environmental standards - Working safely outdoors throughout the year in a variety of weather conditions What are we looking for?

Educated to A-Level standard or able to demonstrate relevant environmental experience - Experience within environmental monitoring or the waste industry would be advantageous - Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work - Excellent organisational and time management skills - Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to analyse data and identify trends or potential issues - A proactive attitude with a willingness to take responsibility and use initiative - Flexible approach to travel and working at sites across FCC Environment's portfolio - Commitment to health, safety and environmental compliance - Desire to learn, develop and progress within the business - Experience using environmental monitoring equipment is desirable About Us We are FCC Environment, one of the nation's leading waste and resource management companies.
