Job overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Physiotherapist to join our Community Learning Disability Team in Waltham Forest. This is an exciting opportunity to provide highly specialised physiotherapy interventions for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, while also playing a key leadership role in shaping and developing the service. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting individuals to maximise independence, improve quality of life, and reduce health inequalities., Main duties of the job Clinical Deliver specialist physiotherapy assessment, treatment and evaluation for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs Manage a complex caseload, applying advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice Support postural management, mobility, and long-term physical health needs Work collaboratively with service users, families, carers and wider MDT Leadership & Service Development Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff, assistants and students Lead on service improvement, audit and outcome measurement Support the Locality Manager to ensure delivery of a high-quality, safe and effective service Contribute to training, education and development across the MDT Operational Organise and prioritise workload across the team Contribute to risk management, incident reporting and governance processes Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with Trust policies
- Association Of Chartered Physiotherapists For People With Learning Disabilities membership (ACPPLD), Experience of training & delivering presentations internally and externally to staff groups including students on educational placements.

As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex. Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff). High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London (B&D, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest, CEME) This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941 p.a. pro rata for part time).
