Full Job Description

As a Laundry Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring residents' clothing and linen are cared for to a high standard within a specialist complex care setting, supporting comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing. You will be responsible for washing, drying, ironing and returning items correctly, ensuring all clothing is clearly labelled and handled with care. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the laundry area, ensuring all processes are carried out safely and efficiently. Working within a care environment, you will follow infection control, health and safety and laundry procedures at all times, supporting a safe and hygienic environment. Working closely with the wider team, you will help deliver a consistent and reliable service that contributes to residents' comfort and overall wellbeing.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding of hygiene, infection control and safe working practices is beneficial
  • Previous experience is welcomed but not essential

  • 12.71 per hour
  • Contracted to 18 hours per week
  • Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
