Introduction
This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to earn while you learn, developing the skills and knowledge required to inspect, maintain, service and repair a wide range of land-based machinery and equipment used within agriculture, horticulture, groundcare and other land-based industries.

What You'll Do
- Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on land-based machinery and equipment.
- Assist with fault finding using mechanical, electrical and hydraulic diagnostic techniques.
- Repair and replace components following manufacturer specifications.
- Prepare machinery for inspection, delivery and customer use.
Conduct pre-delivery inspections and routine safety checks.
Use hand tools, specialist equipment and workshop machinery safely and correctly. - Read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams and workshop instructions.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete job documentation.
- Keep the workshop clean, tidy and organised.
Support experienced engineers during repairs and customer call-outs where required. - Follow health, safety and environmental procedures at all times.
- Develop excellent customer service skills when communicating with customers and colleagues.
