- In vivo models of leishmaniasis infection
- In vitro cell culture systems
- Tissue and cellular imaging
- Single-cell RNA sequencing
- Spatial transcriptomics
- Advanced molecular and cellular biology techniques Department This is an exciting opportunity to join the Hull York Medical School and become part of a multidisciplinary and translational research team that combines pharmacology, parasitology, and skin biology to advance the development of improved therapies for leishmaniasis and other skin-related infectious diseases. Role We are looking for a detail-orientated and reliable individual ideally with experience in skin cell manipulation, organotypic models, drug efficacy screening and parasitology to join our team and contribute to the delivery of our scientific projects. The main purpose of the role will be to:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Biomedical Sciences or a related discipline - Knowledge of microbiology and pharmacology to support high-quality research activities, and the ability to implement practical techniques relevant to the research area
- Knowledge of a range of modern analytical techniques and methodologies
- Experience in, or willingness to undertake, in vitro culture of skin cells, parasites, and other cell types
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental data and laboratory activities
- Willingness to work with animals in accordance with Home Office regulations and ethical standards
