Full Job Description

We have a unique and rewarding opportunity for a dynamic, self-motivated Lead Intelligence Analyst to join our specialist Intelligence & Data Team, supporting the Kent Resource Partnership (KRP) and working closely with all 12 District and Borough Councils. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where you will provide expert intelligence and analysis to drive effective enforcement activity and support strategic decision-making across Kent. What you will do:

  • Promote intelligence-led approaches in fly-tipping enforcement.
  • Serve as the main contact for fly-tipping intelligence across councils and partners.
  • Create analytical reports and profiles following national standards.
  • Advise enforcement teams and managers to guide investigations and actions.
  • Provide intelligence training for consistent practices among officers.
  • Conduct detailed checks and collaborate on cases involving major offenders.
  • Identify trends and intelligence gaps to inform priorities.
  • Support strategic projects with intelligence and insights.

    Do you have exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills and the drive to make a real difference? Are you motivated by partnership working and want to play a lead role in tackling fly-tipping across Kent?, Experience in intelligence-led decision-making.
  • Background in analysis or enforcement using intelligence.
  • Strong analytical skills for clear, actionable outputs.
  • Proficient IT and data handling skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and build partnerships.
  • Organised and proactive, able to manage competing demands.
  • This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
