Full Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Korean Hot Food Chef to join our kitchen team. You will be responsible for preparing authentic Korean hot food to a consistently high standard while maintaining excellent food quality, presentation, hygiene and kitchen organisation.,
- Prepare and cook a range of Korean hot food dishes to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
- Ensure food is consistently well-presented, correctly portioned and cooked to a high standard.
- Prepare ingredients including meat, vegetables, sauces, marinades, soups and other Korean dishes.
- Maintain consistency in taste, portion size and presentation during busy service.
- Work efficiently during busy periods and ensure orders are prepared within expected service times.
- Follow recipes, preparation methods and instructions from the Head Chef.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, health & safety and cleanliness standards.
- Ensure ingredients are stored correctly and follow stock rotation procedures.
- Monitor food quality and report any issues with ingredients or equipment.
- Minimise food waste and assist with effective stock control.
- Keep the kitchen, preparation areas and equipment clean and organised.
- Follow all company policies and food safety procedures.
- Assist with preparation and closing duties as required.
Previous experience working as a Korean chef or in a Korean restaurant kitchen. - Good knowledge of Korean cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a busy restaurant environment.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency.
