Full Job Description

  • Assist with daily food preparation and cooking.
  • Prepare and handle Japanese food safely and hygienically.
  • Support chefs and other kitchen team members.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen.
  • Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
  • Follow food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor food storage, stock rotation and expiry dates.
  • Complete daily kitchen cleaning duties.
  • Work efficiently as part of a team during busy periods.

    We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic Kitchen Staff member to join our team at Kushi, a Japanese food unit.
    • The successful candidate will have basic kitchen knowledge and experience in food preparation, kitchen hygiene and food safety. You will support the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen and help maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness and customer service.,
  • Previous kitchen experience or good kitchen knowledge is required.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate is required.
  • Knowledge of food handling and kitchen safety.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good teamwork, communication and time-management skills.
  • Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
  • Experience preparing Japanese food would be an advantage.

    Saturday: 11:30 am - 7:00 pm
  • Sunday to Friday: 11:30 am - 5:00 pm, plus 1 hour for cleaning.
