We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join the catering team at Charterhouse School. You will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment at all times. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a busy, high-quality education catering setting, supporting the delivery of breakfast, lunch, and dinner service to students, staff, and guests seven days a week. You will be joining Holroyd Howe, one of the UK's leading contract caterers, providing fresh, innovative food services exclusively to independent schools and colleges. We are a team of experienced professionals who tailor our catering service provision specifically to suit children of all ages and meet the bespoke requirements of each school. The safety and wellbeing of the people we serve is at the heart of everything we do. A key focus is effective allergen management; achieved through training, communication, and care, we ensure every pupil has a safe and positive dining experience.   • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
  • Assist chefs with basic food prep and stock deliveries
  • Operate dishwashers and ensure proper sanitation practices
  • Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Support the team in daily kitchen operations and setup for service

  • A keen interest in food and cooking, eager to learn and develop skills
  • Good attention to detail and understanding of hygiene practices
  • Team player with a positive and flexible attitude
  • Previous kitchen experience or relevant training is beneficial but not essential
  • Willingness to work in an education or high-profile catering environment is desirable
