Kitchen Porter
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Kitchen Porter to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and is keen to develop their culinary skills, with opportunities to progress into a Salad Chef or Chef role through training and experience.
Key Skills and Attributes
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within the kitchen team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Kitchen Managers, Chefs, and colleagues.
- A strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment while remaining calm under pressure.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, food hygiene, health and safety, and kitchen procedures.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods, carry out manual handling tasks, and work during busy service periods.
- Flexible to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- A dependable team player who can follow instructions and support the wider kitchen team.
- Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided.
