Full Job Description
As a Kitchen Porter, you will play an important role in supporting the chefs and wider kitchen team, helping to maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment. Join a team that values you for being you. Valued. Recognised. Rewarded. What you'll do:
- Washing and sanitising dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Keeping kitchen areas, floors, work surfaces and storage areas clean and organised
- Supporting chefs with basic food preparation when required
- Managing rubbish and food waste correctly
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Assisting with deliveries, including moving and storing supplies
- Keeping fridges, freezers and dry-storage areas clean and organised
- Replenishing cleaning materials and kitchen supplies
- Following food hygiene, health and safety and COSHH procedures
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
- Reporting any equipment, maintenance or health and safety issues to the manager
- Carrying out other reasonable duties as required by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager
