Full Job Description
Are you reliable, hardworking and ready to be part of a busy kitchen team? We're looking for a Kitchen Porter to help keep our kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly. You'll play an important part in supporting the wider kitchen team, ensuring everything is ready for service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and the ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.,
- Keep the kitchen and back-of-house areas clean, tidy and organised to the highest standards.
- Wash dishes, cookware, utensils and equipment efficiently to keep service running smoothly.
- Maintain a clean and organised washing-up and storage area throughout the day.
- Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation when needed.
- Clean and sanitise equipment, surfaces and work areas safely and thoroughly.
- Empty bins and manage waste in line with food hygiene and safety procedures.
- Assist with deliveries, moving stock and keeping storage areas well organised.
- Be a reliable helping hand to chefs and colleagues during busy service periods.
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times.
- Take part in relevant training to develop your skills and knowledge.
- Complete end-of-shift cleaning to leave the kitchen fresh, safe and ready for the next service.
Reliable, punctual and hardworking - Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment
- Able to work efficiently as part of a team
- Good attention to cleanliness and hygiene
- Able to manage physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting kitchen equipment or deliveries
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
