Full Job Description

You'll support the Catering Manager and Chef with food preparation, serving meals, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring high standards of food hygiene throughout the kitchen and dining areas. Key duties include:

  • Assisting with food preparation and basic cooking tasks.
  • Serving meals and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.
  • Correctly storing and labelling food.
  • Washing catering equipment and carrying out cleaning duties.
  • Preparing and maintaining dining areas for service.

    You'll have:
  • Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment.
  • A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A caring and respectful approach when supporting children, young people and families.
  • Experience within a hospice, hospital, care home or similar healthcare setting would be advantageous.
