We now seek an additional Kitchen / Catering Assistant who is passionate about, and thrives on, making a real and positive difference to the lives of older people. Working in collaboration and unison with the Cook and the wider catering team you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient running of all kitchen processes. These will include creating menus, plating up, arranging trollies, and ensuring each of our residents feel directly supported and looked
after with the highest quality of support and care. Whilst you will be involve, Akari Care is looking to hire a Kitchen Assistant. The position involves a 28-hour contract at a facility in Swadlincote. The company values personalized care and a respectful environment for residents. The Kitchen Assistant will work closely with the Cook and the catering team to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Key responsibilities include managing menus, plating food, and arranging serving trollies, all while being sensitive to the residents' individual preferences, including religious and cultural considerations. The role requires someone who understands the importance of making mealtimes enjoyable and seamless for the residents. Experience in a similar environment and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate are required.
