Kitchen Assistant

We're looking for friendly, reliable and enthusiastic individuals to help make lunchtimes a great experience for our clients. If you enjoy working with food and have a passion for great customer service, this could be the perfect role for you! What You'll Be Doing:

• Helping prepare and serve nutritious community meals
• Following training, to deputise for the cook to cover annual leave and absence.
• Washing up and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
• Supporting the cook with food prep and cooking
• Following hygiene and safety procedures
• Completing kitchen paperwork (e.g. cleaning schedules, temperature logs)
  
  A caring attitude and a team spirit
• Good communication skills - especially with children
• Basic literacy and numeracy
• Awareness of food hygiene, allergens, and safeguarding
• Willingness to complete training (e.g. Manual Handling, Food Hygiene)
