The Learning Support Team is a dedicated, skilled, and compassionate group of professionals committed to ensuring every student can access learning and achieve success. We work closely with the SENDCo, class teachers, and families to provide tailored support that meets the individual needs of our students, particularly those with additional or complex learning profiles. Our team champions inclusion across the curriculum, using a calm, consistent and student-centred approach. Caister Academy are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to work closely with an individual KS4 student who has an Education, Health and Care Plan. You will bring patience, consistency and a strong understanding of how to support young people with neurodiverse profiles or attachment/developmental trauma, helping them to feel safe, confident and ready to learn. You will be someone who can build a trusting relationship, adapt learning tasks with sensitivity, and promote independence while offering calm, structured support. Strong communication skills, reliability and a commitment to inclusion are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with the SENDCo and class teachers. - GCSE English and Maths, minimum Grade 4 or equivalent
- Proven experience working in an educational environment
- Ability to use initiative and apply sound decision-making
