Introduction
This is a practical apprenticeship with most training being hands on experience with our team.
We are offering an opportunity to gain experience with a wide variety of dogs, all shapes, sizes and breeds.
Invaluable to anyone wanting to go on to work with dogs whether in a kennels environment or any dog handling role.
About the Employer
Large, busy Dog Boarding Kennels in Berkshire with a dedicated team of canine carers for our valued clients.
What You'll Do
- All aspects of maintaining kennels hygiene to a high standard and complying with licensing guidelines. Cleaning kennels and runs, beds and bedding as well as exercise areas
- Feeding, exercising, monitoring health and well-being of all dogs boarding
- Customer interaction on dogs’ arrival and departure handovers
Training Outcome
Possibility of permanent role after the apprenticeship.

Working Arrangements
Working Week: 8.20am - 5.30pm including 2 short breaks and 1 hour lunch. Average 38 hours per week over 7 days. Working days to be confirmed, rota will include weekends and Bank Holidays. Christmas and New Year working is normally shared between all staff.
Expected Duration: 1 Year 2 Months
