Junior Service Manager Are you looking to grow your service management experience and make a real impact on how Information Technology services are delivered? As a Junior Service Manager, you will support the delivery of high-quality Information Technology services, taking ownership of smaller services end to end or managing key components within larger, more complex programmes. You will work alongside an experienced Service Manager in a supportive and collaborative environment where continuous improvement, client satisfaction and innovation are part of everyday work. This role sits within Sopra Steria's Aerospace, Defence and Security business, supporting the Ministry of Defence's Future Defence Infrastructure Services accommodation contract. FDIS delivers enhanced estates management services to serving military personnel and their families, managing a large portfolio of Service Family Accommodation properties. You will gain exposure to end-to-end service delivery across applications, infrastructure and business processes, while building effective working relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams within the wider Service Management function. This is a hybrid role, with office locations available in Bristol, Hemel Hempstead, London, Manchester and North Yorkshire. You will attend the office as required for meetings, collaboration or service activity. As with all Service Management roles, there may be a requirement for non-standard working hours during a Major Incident or significant service change. What you'll be doing:
- Owning or supporting the delivery of Information Technology services across applications, infrastructure and business processes.
- Managing service performance against Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
- Supporting service design, service transition and continuous improvement activities.
- Monitoring service performance and producing reporting and insights.
- Building effective working relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
- Supporting major incidents and service changes when required. What you'll bring:
- Experience working in an Information Technology service delivery or service management environment.
- An understanding of service levels, performance management and reporting.
- Knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library or equivalent service management frameworks.
- An organised and proactive approach with a clear sense of ownership.
- Confidence working with a range of stakeholders across different teams. It would be great if you had:
- Exposure to contract or commercial management.
- An understanding of different service delivery models.
- Membership of a professional Information Technology body. Location: Hemel Hempstead, Bristol, London, Manchester or North Yorkshire - hybrid working.
