Full Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher to join the Junior School from September 2026. The successful candidate will teach across KS2 as a Form Tutor, working within the College's curriculum and policies to plan, prepare and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that provide appropriate challenge and support for all pupils. The role involves assessing and monitoring progress, giving timely and constructive feedback, writing reports, and discussing pupils' development with parents.

As a Form Tutor, you will take responsibility for the wellbeing, personal development and day-to-day support of pupils, fostering positive relationships, high standards of behaviour and an inclusive classroom environment. You will work closely with colleagues across the Junior School, including Learning Support staff and Senior Leaders, to ensure pupils are well supported both academically and pastorally.

Teachers are expected to contribute actively to the wider life of the school. This includes running at least one lunchtime and one after-school club each week, supporting curriculum and enrichment activities, assisting with outings and residential trips, and attending assemblies, meetings, INSET, parents' evenings and key school events. There are also occasional Saturday commitments for Open Days and admissions activities.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative Junior School team, where staff are encouraged to develop professionally, share good practice and contribute positively to the life of the College.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. This is the responsibility of the whole College community. We all remain vigilant about safeguarding at the College and we never think that child abuse could not happen here or to our pupils. A DBS Disclosure is required to the Enhanced level. The DBS Code of Practice and the Standard and Enhanced DBS Privacy Policy can be found on our website. Charity 1150064
