Full Job Description

As Junior Pastry Sous Chef, you will:

  • Support the day-to-day running of the pastry section
  • Work closely with the Head Pastry Chef and Pastry Sous Chef on prep, production, and service
  • Deliver consistently high standards in presentation, flavour, and execution
  • Contribute to seasonal menu development and new ideas
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen environment
  • Support stock control, ordering, and waste management
  • Help train and develop junior members of the team

    A strong Junior Pastry Sous Chef will have:
  • Experience as Sous Chef or Chef de Partie within pastry
  • Exposure to high-quality restaurant or hotel environments
  • Solid pastry fundamentals and attention to detail
  • A genuine passion to learn, grow, and develop
  • A positive, team-focused attitude
  • Strong organisational skills in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy service periods
