Operating across the commercial fit-out, high-end residential and industrial sectors, this contractor has built a strong reputation for quality delivery and long-term client relationships. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a motivated mechanical professional ready to take the next step in their career.

Salary: GBP 60,000 – 65,000 per YEAR

The Role

This position is ideal for a qualified plumber or pipefitter who has gained supervisory experience and is now looking to progress into management. The successful candidate will be supported and developed within the business, with clear progression into a fully-fledged Mechanical Project Manager role. You will be involved in:

• Assisting in the management of mechanical (plumbing/pipefitting) packages on high-value projects
• Supporting programme delivery and coordination with site teams
• Supervising operatives and subcontractors
• Ensuring health & safety compliance on site
• Liaising with main contractors, consultants and clients
• Supporting procurement and material management

Requirements

• Fully qualified Plumber/Pipefitter (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) - relevant SKILLS card
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification
• Previous experience within commercial fit-out sector essential
• Experience in a supervisory or lead mechanical capacity
• Strong technical mechanical knowledge (plumbing/pipefitting systems)
• Ambition to progress into project management
