Full Job Description
- Providing clinical care in neonatal medicine, including intensive care, high-dependency, and special care settings.
- Attending high-risk deliveries and postnatal ward rounds.
- Participating in antenatal counselling alongside senior clinicians.
- Developing skills in neonatal resuscitation and procedural competence (intubation, line placement, ultrasound guidance).
- Working within a multidisciplinary team, including neonatal nurse practitioners (NNPs), allied health professionals, and specialist consultants.
- Attending weekly teaching sessions, simulation training, and neonatal grand rounds.
- Engaging in quality improvement (QI), clinical governance, and research activities. Why Join Us?

Candidates with a minimum of six months' experience in neonatal or paediatric medicine. - GMC-registered doctors (or those eligible for GMC registration).

This is an exciting opportunity a Junior Clinical Fellow. We are currently recruiting for 1 x 12 month post (maternity leave cover) to commence in December 2026 to join the tertiary-level Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St. Mary's Hospital, one of the largest and busiest neonatal units in the UK.
