JUNIOR FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER - DIVISIONAL COSTS JOB OVERVIEW Reporting to Senior Finance Business Partner - Divisional Costs, within the Business Services Facilities Management central team. Taking on a vital position within the central finance team to guarantee the precise allocation of monthly expenses, enabling commercial departments to fulfil their month-end obligations. Main Duties
- Ensure compliance with all Group Accounting Policies and procedures.
- Managing assigned central processes for Business Services to ensure consistency across all service lines.
- Continuously improve financial processes to maximise efficiency and maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Build relationships across all business areas, including Group and MSS.
- Supporting the team to ensure all month-end reporting schedules and deliverables are submitted accurately and on time.
- Support local and centralised Finance teams in production of the monthly management accounts.
- Supporting with the audit process and liaising with internal and external personnel where required.
- Use initiative to complete ad-hoc tasks and projects as required, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and professionalism, contributing to a supportive and collaborative work environment.
- Review and analyse financial transactions to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure reconciliation of monthly financial data, analysis of costs and performance to budget including specific balance sheet items so that the accounting and financial position in the accounts accurately reflect the actual position and financial health. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR The individual will be part qualified accountant or newly qualified, excellent analytical skills, and an ability to understand and solve complex issues. The individual is a good communicator, have excellent stakeholder management skills and be an effective influencer, comfortable working in a matrix environment. The ideal candidate should be highly proficient in Excel, capable of handling substantial data volumes, able to prioritise tasks effectively, and adhere to strict deadlines.
