… and moreJob DescriptionðThis role is based in Bristol with a hybrid working pattern. Candidates should live within commuting distance or be open to relocation support.The role supports electrical design activities during nuclear power plant construction. Your future team responds to site technical queries and protects the integrity of the design. The position offers early-career engineers exposure to complex multidisciplinary engineering challenges.Review site technical queries and gather required electrical design input dataProduce technical assessments and complete engineering calculations supporting electrical systemsEvaluate impacts of site activities on electrical design integritySupport closure of electrical design open points following design package deliveryIdentify emerging technical risks and escalate open points proactivelyCapture lessons learned to improve engineering processes and documentationAssess modification requests and confirm applicability to electrical
systemsCoordinate with layout engineers to ensure accurate 2D and 3D model integrationSupport commissioning teams with preparation of electrical test documentationReport progress and technical updates during team engineering meetingsQualificationsNuclear experience is not essential, but is of course welcome. If you have worked within a highly regulated environment, your skills and approach are highly transferable and of strong interest to us.We also recognise that the perfect candidate rarely exists. If you feel you meet around 80% of the criteria and are motivated to develop further, we would strongly encourage you to applyDegree in Electrical Engineering or closely related disciplineElectrical design experience within engineering projectsDemonstrated experience performing cable sizing and electrical calculationsKnowledge of electrical networks, protection systems and earthing principlesExperience supporting installation of transformers and electrical switchboardsAbility to
