Full Job Description

  • These posts are open to internal colleagues and Westminster graduates only.
  • There are three posts available. One role is full time and permanent. Two roles are full time and fixed term until 31 December 2027. All posts are working 35 hours per week. We are seeking three individuals who can serve as sources of advice and support regarding the exploitation of Generative AI in learning and teaching. Post-holders will help students and colleagues at the university develop their AI literacy and use of corporate systems in relation to Generative AI through the provision of 1:1 advice, workshops, and short courses. The post will be a part of the Learning Innovation and Digital Engagement (LIDE) group. LIDE operates across all University sites and provides specialist advice and support to staff on the exploitation of technology, both in and outside the classroom.,

    Applicants should have a degree-level qualification in a relevant subject, or demonstrable, relevant equivalent qualifications/experience. S/he should have some understanding of the range of skills needed to effectively exploit technology in learning and teaching. Experience of working, learning, or teaching in both face-to-face and virtual contexts, and experience with issues people may face when using technology in a work or learning context, are essential. Applicants should also have a sound appreciation of the potential impact of Generative AI on learning and teaching. Applicants should have good general digital skills and proven experience in the exploitation of Generative AI by students for learning and colleagues for teaching. S/he should be customer-oriented and be able to demonstrate an engaging approach to helping and supporting others. Practical written and oral communication skills, including report writing and presentation, will be important for the role.
