Junior Clinical Fellow - SHO

Liaise between nurses, other junior doctors, patients, relatives and senior medical staff

Attend to the day-to-day management of day case, out-patient and in-patients

Attend and participate in ward rounds and operating theatre sessions as timetabled

Attend general and specialist out-patient, diagnostic and preassessment clinics

Teach medical students as directed

Supervise, monitor and assist the FY doctors in posts with an attached FY

Take part in rostered emergency work

To keep up-to date with all administrative duties including letters, results and discharge summaries as required

Southend University Hospital successfully bid for the Urology Specialist Cancer Centre in 2016, meaning that the Trust provides specialised surgery for patients across Essex with prostate, bladder and kidney cancer.

Centralising this specialist urological cancer surgery brings together clinical experts to share experience and further develop the service for the benefit of our patients., Our ambition is to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and well being of our patients, and provide a vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.
