Junior Clinical Fellow - Neonatology

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Neonatal Team as a Clinical Fellow in Neonatology. This clinical role will complement our services to continue the delivery of high-quality care to our large East London population, and the successful candidates will benefit from a wide exposure and training in the intensive and routine care of preterm and term born neonates., Duties for the post holder will be on our neonatal units, labour ward, and postnatal wards. The rota involves daytime and night duties and is compliant with the European Working Time and the Deanery Directives. Full induction to operations, duties and responsibilities will be provided.

The successful candidate will be part of the Neonatology medical establishment, will be expected to take an active team-role in managing the patients, and will have an assigned educational supervisor for his/her continuous professional development.

We operate from two main sites - KGH in Goodmayes and Queen's Hospital in Romford. We have two busy emergency departments with more than 346,000 people visiting them last year. We're campaigning to secure the £35m we need to transform the A&E at Queen's and get rid of corridor care.

We're proud of our regional Neurosciences Centre, Radiotherapy Centre and Hyper Acute Stroke Unit. We're also part of the North East London Cancer Alliance.

We run a Women's Health Hub in Ilford; an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and at St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub. These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.
