Junior Clinical Fellow in Gastroenterology

An exciting opportunity has risen for a clinical fellow to strengthen the Gastroenterology service at University Hospital Lewisham (UHL). The post has been designed to support Gastroenterology alongside providing training for those intending to pursue a career in Gastroenterology. This post is a Fixed Term Contract for 18 months., The post holder will have the opportunity to develop wide experience within the department, with sessions being dedicated to clinical work (which will include outpatient clinics) with some flexible sessions to develop relevant interests, such as Endoscopy. Post-holders are expected to play an active role on the wards and in the research programme on the unit. Clinical Fellows have in the past produced research or audit data that has resulted in first author publications and / or presentations at national / international meetings. The post could be tailored to specific interests., 1. Improving representation at senior levels of staff with disabilities, from black, Asian, and ethnic minorities background, identify as LGBTQ+ and women, through improved recruitment and leadership development
2. Widening access (anchor institution) and employability
3. Improving the experience of staff with disability
4. Improving the EDI literacy and confidence of trust staff through training and development
5. Making equalities mainstream
