Full Job Description

The Royal College of Art is seeking a collaborative and organised Journals & E-Resources Librarian to join its Library team within the Education and Student Success Directorate.
Working as part of the Collections & Systems strand, you will manage the Library's print journals and electronic resources, ensuring effective access to high-quality scholarly content that supports teaching, research and creative practice across the College's three campuses., + Manage print journal and e-resource subscriptions, licences and renewals
+ Maintain access to e-journals, databases and online platforms
+ Monitor usage data and present statistics to support decision making
+ Manage journals and e-resources budgets and expenditure
+ Liaise with suppliers and sector partners, including Jisc
+ Promote Library resources through guides, training and communications
+ Contribute to enquiry services and collaborative Library projects
The role is primarily campus based, with occasional agreed home working. Evening and Saturday shifts are required on a rota basis.

You will have:
+ A professional qualification in Library or Information Science
+ Experience managing journals and e-resources in an academic or specialist library
+ Experience managing budgets and analysing usage data
+ Knowledge of e-resource access and academic publishing developments
+ Excellent organisational, communication and teamwork skills
An interest in contemporary art, design and culture is desirable.
