Our Safer Roads Unit (SRU) are looking for a JOU Traffic Management Officer.
A good understanding of the road traffic act will be beneficial with training provided to understand the details of road signing, engineering and traffic regulation orders. Although you will be assigned to manage all enquiries for a specific area, as part of the team you will be expected to attend any location across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to assist with deployment of our equipment and site visits with other members of the team. As part of the Safer Roads Unit, our team deals with the specific details of traffic legislation and road safety, working closely with many stakeholders and external partners.
Type of person we are looking for:
We are a small team who work closely together but also independently so the successful candidate must be able to manage and prioritise their own workloads but will always be supported by the wider team. We are looking for someone who is confident in communication both written and in person.
