Full Job Description
We are delighted to announce that we have an exciting opportunity, for a motivated and flexible teacher, to join our pastoral team as the Head of one of our Houses and be a key part of our provision to support young people in school. As a Head of House, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a range of students and abilities to ensure students achieve their full potential. You will lead a section of the school, known as a House, reflecting the vision, values and ethos of the school as a whole. Meadow Park School is proud to have five Houses, Fulmen, Lunar, Orbis, Sol and Stellae. The Head of House role is both strategic and operational in nature; working closely with the Deputy Heads of House you will ensure the smooth day to day running of the House and future planning.
Committed to making a positive difference to the lives of all students and staff.
- Reflective and resilient with a strong personal drive.
- Passionate about securing the most productive learning opportunities for students in school.
- Values driven, dedicated to "Thrive Together"
- Honest and have complete integrity and 'moral compass'
We will offer you:
- A positive and innovative learning culture, where wellbeing and workload are effectively managed.
- A dedicated, highly skilled and committed staff, upholding high expectations and aspirations for all of our students.
- A strong sense of community and a warm, welcoming workplace.
- Frequent opportunities to collaborate with teachers and support staff from the other schools in the MAT to develop and share best practice.
- A vibrant, modern building and facilities (including the use of two minibuses for fixtures/tournaments) in a beautiful location within easy reach of the M40/M6 corridor.
Are you looking for your next challenge? Do you relish the chance to support colleagues to secure rapid sustained school improvement? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Finham Park Multi Academy Trust is a growing organisation, which is currently made up of eight schools across Coventry and Warwickshire, of which Meadow Park School is one. The Primary and Secondary schools in Finham Park MAT set out to pioneer, innovate and deliver a "World Class" education for all.
At Meadow Park School we are committed to Nurturing Excellence, Growing Aspiration and Thriving Together. Meadow Park School strives to achieve excellent outcomes for young people, but also provides opportunities for them to be creative, innovative and to enjoy their learning.
Meadow Park was recently inspected by Ofsted and graded 'Good' for Attitude to Learning, Personal Development and Leadership (November 2023). The Lead Inspector noted in their report that:
"Pupils, parents and staff all describe the significant improvements that have taken place at the school since the arrival of the new headteacher";
"There is now a clear and ambitious vision evident from all leaders to improve the quality of education for all pupils";
"The school is welcoming to all pupils and frequently described as caring and compassionate"., Welcome to Finham Park Multi Academy Trust.
Finham Park Multi Academy Trust was created in March 2015, with the aim of creating a small Coventry/West Midlands based Multi Academy Trust that pioneers, innovates and delivers a "World Class" education for all children from the age of 3-19, where the artificial barriers of stage and age are removed.
Our Trust aims to exceed the highest national and international benchmarks for academic achievement, whilst ensuring young people develop a passion for learning in all its contexts and are ready to take their place as active members of our global community.
Our vision is to move beyond collaboration and into co-construction - ensuring our education is developed with and by all members of the Trust to reflect the needs of our children, their families and the wider community.
We are immensely proud of our schools, which include a vibrant mix of Primary and Secondary schools, representing a diverse range of communities that we are honored to serve.
We welcome collaboration with other local schools and Trusts, to take our values and ethos into the wider demographic.
