Full Job Description

The Communications & PR Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the development and execution of the communications strategy, influencer marketing, and PR activities. This role plays a critical role in amplifying the brand's voice and visibility, ensuring that the right audiences are engaged through strategic media placements, influencer partnerships, and content creation. By supporting the Communications Manager, this role helps shape and protect the brand's reputation, drive earned media opportunities and ensures that key communications goals are met across earned media channels. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Communications Manager to develop and execute strategic PR initiatives, manage press relationships, and support influencer collaborations that align with brand objectives and drive measurable results. WHAT THIS ROLE DOES PR Strategy Support & Execution

  • Assist in the development and implementation of PR strategies for new product launches, brand campaigns, and key events.
  • Support in managing media relations, including outreach to beauty editors, influencers, and key opinion formers to drive product coverage and brand visibility.
  • Lead the coordination of press events and mailers, ensuring effective use of PR resources within the agreed budget.
  • Monitor media coverage, report on KPIs, and track earned media value (EMV) to assess the impact of PR campaigns.
  • React to and implement plans for rising trends quickly, while anticipating future trends to incorporate into strategic plans
  • Influencer & Media Relations
  • Assist the Communications Manager in creating and executing influencer marketing strategies to drive awareness and engagement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key influencers, celebrities, and media contacts to amplify brand messaging, while also identifying new partnerships
  • Manage the content approval process for influencer collaborations, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and campaign goals.
  • Track influencer campaign performance using reporting tools (e.g., Tribe Dynamics, Launch Metrics), and provide recommendations for future activities.
  • Brand & Retailer Communications
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, events, and social media, to ensure a cohesive communications strategy across all channels.
  • Support retailer communications by coordinating with retail partners and facilitating media and influencer collaborations for product launches and promotional events.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging influencer talent to inform PR strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

    Multiple years experience in PR, media relations, communications and social media, preferably within the beauty, fashion, or luxury sectors.
  • University degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of digital media, influencer marketing, and earned media strategies.
  • Familiarity with media and influencer outreach, particularly within beauty and luxury sectors.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key media, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
  • An understanding of the social media different platforms, the role they play and the behaviour of the consumer and influencers interacting with them
  • Proven track record of identifying rising trends and influencer talent quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling press materials and manage high-level communication strategies.
  • Solid experience in crisis communications and the ability to manage sensitive issues with professionalism and tact.
  • Strong understanding of analytics and reporting with the ability to track and measure PR performance, using tools such as Tribe Dynamics, Google Analytics, and media tracking software.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative and strategic thinker, with the ability to identify new opportunities and deliver impactful campaigns.
