JAG Admin Support / Patient Pathway Coordinator

We are recruiting for a JAG Admin Support / Patient Pathway Coordinator who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

You will provide efficient administrative support to the Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) Speciality Team in all aspects of the patient pathway and will be responsible for supporting the Endoscopy Team to ensure successful delivery of the Joint Advisory Group (JAG) accreditation.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for booking Waiting Lists and appointments and be able to communicate with both Patients and Consultants regarding booking appointments within the Trust Policy Guidelines. A good telephone manner is essential.

You will be responsible for providing a range of project and administrative support to ensure successful delivery of JAG accreditation, including being up to date with the latest JAG requirements, compiling audit data, supporting progression through the accreditation process and enacting instrumental change within the Endoscopy Unit in response to JAG requirements. You will compile and disseminate the monthly JAG newsletter.

To be able to prioritise own workload & work independently using initiative and deal with frequent interruptions is essential.

You would also learn other aspects of the department and provide flexible cross cover as appropriate. This includes accurate data input, working in a busy reception area, booking of patients from a waiting list and response to patient enquiries.
