Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham
Hours of Work: 40 hrs pw including evenings & weekends as required.
Salary: £32,000

We are seeking to recruit an IT Technician to be based in our Edgbaston office. This will be a mobile role, which will require travel throughout the UK, sometimes with little or no notice, and must be able to travel abroad as required.
Job Summary
A Mobile IT Technician provides onsite technical support to our Hospitals/Clinics. The role involves travelling to our sites to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, networks, mobile devices, printers, and other IT equipment. The technician will ensure systems operate efficiently while delivering excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to Hospitals/Clinics or company locations to provide IT support
- Install, configure, and maintain:
- PCs and laptops
- Printers and peripherals
- Mobile devices
- Networking equipment
- Software applications
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Perform system upgrades and equipment replacements
- Set up user accounts, email, and security permissions
- Support Wi-Fi and basic network troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Provide remote support when required
- Ensure compliance with company IT and security policies
- Manage stock, tools, and spare equipment
- Deliver excellent customer service and communicate technical issues clearly
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of:
- Windows operating systems
- Microsoft 365
- Hardware diagnostics and repair
- Basic networking (TCP/IP, routers, switches, Wi-Fi)
- Ability to troubleshoot independently
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Time management and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Valid UK Passport
- Ability to travel regularly
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Network+
- Microsoft certifications
- Experience in field service or helpdesk support
Working Conditions
- Frequent travel between sites
- May involve lifting and installing equipment
- Occasional evening and weekend work
- Combination of onsite and remote support
