This role is open to all applicants. However in line with Cornwall first principles, initial shortlisting will prioritise applicants from Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and the Integrated Care Board for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
This is a development role moving from it's start point of an IT Procurement Administrator Band 3 up to an IT Procurement Officer Band 4.
When you have met the required criteria to demonstrate your competency in the role, you will move up to a band 4. We expect that this will take 1 to 3 years depending on your aptitude and ability.
You must have a basic knowledge in IT and be willing to learn our processes and procedures to fulfil the IT needs of all the NHS organisations in Cornwall.
This role is based onsite at our offices in Drump Road, Redruth which is where all of our administrative tasks are performed and our main stock is located.
This role also has a daily requirement to lift and move equipment. This could be anything from a single parcel up to a delivery of 1000+ boxes, which can be heavy at times.
A full driving licence is desirable to assist with transporting equipment between sites and storage areas using Trust vehicles., The Team provides IT advice, stock control, asset management and purchasing support to all NHS organisations in Cornwall.
This includes;
Advice on IT equipment required for specific needs. Requisitioning and receiving equipment to fulfil call requests.
Track orders and update customers on delivery status.
Maintaining and updating the call management system.
Maintaining the asset register and allocation of asset numbers. Frequently receiving large orders. Stock control, movement, and device preparation.
Liaising with customers and colleagues both verbally and written.
Adhering to the trust's health and safety practices
Good inter-team communication to avoid duplication and ensure accuracy.
The post holder will be part of our friendly team based at the CITS office in Redruth. Working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week.
