IT&D Senior Technical Consultant

We are looking for an experienced technician with an advanced understanding of modern technologies and IT environments. Providing hands-on IT support, resolving technical issues, and delivering hardware and software solutions to users across Surrey County Council., This role involves working as a Senior Technical Consultant, providing support to SCC customers, contributing to major IT workstreams, projects and programmes. We need someone with a passion for great customer service and enthusiasm to support users with all levels of competencies.,

• Support performance management and assist in setting priorities for the team
• Coordinate planning, scheduling and supervision of staff and workload
• Identify and resolve issues disrupting workflow or ability to support customers
• Forecast and plan equipment requirements for future workload demands
• Ensure Configuration Management records are accurate on all high value IT assets stored with IT&D
• Mentor and support other members of the team, promote knowledge sharing and development of technical skills
• Take responsibility for the most complex technical issues
• To assist in achieving permanent resolutions to Problems and work proactively to ensure Incidents are prevented where possible
  
  The successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge of critical business applications, understand their impact on operation al performance and act as a technical subject matter expert within the team., Experience and comprehensive knowledge of modern technologies
• Experience of staff supervision and development
• Understanding of workplace adjustments
• Good record keeping and attention to detail
• ITIL or similar qualifications
  
  The salary range for this role is £48,698 - £52,864 per annum based on a 36 hour working week., 26 days' holiday, rising to 28 days after 2 years' service and 31 days after 5 years' service (pro rated for part time opportunities)
