Full Job Description

The post holder will be a key member of the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team, leading the surveillance of surgical site infections (SSI) and working with the IPC nurses on the surveillance of healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs). They will ensure the delivery of high-quality, accurate data to enable robust analysis that supports and enhances IPC services across Whittington Health. This role is instrumental in producing and communicating critical IPC metrics to internal and external stakeholders, driving informed decision-making. In addition, the post holder will lead the development and maintenance of IPC surveillance programmes and data systems across the Integrated Care Board (ICB), underpinning effective analysis and impactful reporting.
