Full Job Description
We are therefore seeking to appoint an exceptional and highly experienced, Project Manager, to provide the Joint Scientific Committee (JSC) with operational and administrative expertise, ensuring the successful delivery of the IonQ research programme. The duties for this key post include but are not limited to; management of QIC operations, financial management, risk management, coordinating grant applications and costings, communications, acting as Secretary to the JSC.
The ideal candidate should be able to evidence a high level of project management proficiency and possess excellent oral and written communication skills as they will be expected to engage effectively with members of the IonQ community within Cambridge and internationally, as well as with members of the public. You will be exceptionally well organised and be able to work both independently and as part of a wide and varied number of people across different staff categories and levels of seniority.
The UK's most powerful quantum computer, which will accelerate research and discovery in quantum science, engineering, and a range of other applications, will be based at the University of Cambridge as part of a new partnership with the quantum technology company IonQ. The collaboration is the University's largest-ever corporate research partnership., The role is full time (37 hours per week) but we will consider applications from candidates looking to work 0.8 FTE.
