Full Job Description
We are looking for multiple existing instructors with experience in training delivery and lesson writing to deliver sUAS and First Person View (FPV) training to a UK Military customer. The projects you will be involved in will be UK based but as part of the Inzpire team, there may be opportunities to be involved in wider projects across UK Defence, International and Civil UAS opportunities. The role will be focused on sUAS and FPV technical training, therefore candidates should have depth of knowledge in building, repairing and operating a wide range of different sUAS and FPV systems. Applicants will be required to deliver technical training in accordance with current Defence System Approach to Training (DSAT) methodology. Successful candidates may be required to start at short notice so please let us know your availability when contacting us. THE PERSON Inzpire is looking for dynamic, proactive individuals with a 'can do attitude' who are capable of working within a military training environment with minimal supervision and are keen to contribute their own experience, suggesting ideas to continually improve the training delivery. At times the role will require flexible working or shift work in support of our customers training needs. Prior military or a uniformed service background is highly desirable, especially in the operation of sUAS and FPV systems in the land environment; all services and cap badges will be considered. Additionally, if further sUAS and FPV experience has been gained after leaving military service in a civil capacity, this will also be considered favourably. However, we are also keen to build on the experience of highly experienced civilian sUAS and FPV Pilots who may not have served in the military but have outstanding skills and experience in sUAS and FPV operations. All candidates must meet the following criteria:
- General Visual line of sight Certificate (GVC) or Remote Pilot Certificate (Level 1).
- Experienced in sUAS and FPV operations/flying hours (evidenced with Logbook)
- Experience in teaching or instructing others
- Valid Driving Licence.
- In date Passport. The ideal candidates would have some of the following skills and experience:
- Military Experience - HM Forces Veteran with significant service or
- Civil UAS Operations Experience - at least a couple of logged UAS operations
- Letter of Recommendation from military chain of command or past civil UAS employer.
- sUAS and or FPV Instructional Experience.
- Instructor Qualifications: accredited to Level 3 Award in Education are highly desirable, but other instructional qualifications will be considered including Defence Train the Trainer (DTTT) or Aircrew Instructor Course (AIC), CFS qualifications etc.
- Familiarity with JSP822 Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) methodology.
- Extant Security Clearance (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) highly desirable.
- Familiarity with MAA RA 1600 series.
- Familiarity with CAA UAS category regulations. LOCATION: UK South Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must be a UK National and may be required to successfully complete National Security Vetting which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will also normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.
- 30 days paid holiday plus 8 days bank holidays per year.
- Uncapped paid leave scheme (upon successful completion of probation period).
- Company provided private medical and dental insurance.
- QinetiQ Share Incentive Scheme.
- Enhanced maternity and paternity pay.
- Annual profit and performance related pay scheme.
- Death in service (x4 salary).
- Company contributions into a group personal pension scheme.
