Full Job Description

Working as part of the Investigations team, you will lead and conduct high-quality investigations into a range of employment related matters including, disciplinary, grievance and other complex people issues. As a result, you will have a key role in supporting the delivery of fair, consistent and timely employment relations processes.

You will work closely with managers, HR colleagues and Trade Union representatives to ensure that cases are handled professionally, sensitively, and in line with policy, legislation and best practice.

Whilst you will need to be able to work independently, you will be part of a team of investigators able to offer support and guidance as needed.

Given the nature of the role, demand for our services will fluctuate, making this an opportunity that could fit around other commitments.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need to bring:

Practical experience of undertaking investigations into workplace matters, ideally gained through working in a management or HR role

The ability to manage sensitive and complex investigation cases with fairness and professionalism, applying your professional curiosity appropriately.

Excellent communication and listening skills, able to build trust and credibility quickly with stakeholders and present findings clearly, both in reports and at meetings.

Excellent organisation skills, and a detail-focused approach to ensure investigations are completed in a swift but thorough manner

Knowledge of relevant employment law and best practice in managing investigations

Display and role-model the right behaviours in line with our organisation's values

Above all, you will bring integrity, sound judgement and a commitment to supporting a positive employee experience., In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
